A Maine Island Elopement on the Rocks and Waves

Jenni and Malcolm rented a beautiful, old house overlooking the ocean in Bailey Island. Donning L.L. Bean boots with just their parents, they eloped on the rocky coast of Maine. It was a small wedding but full of heart. Simple and yet beautiful describes the whole day.

After a touching and ceremony, during which Jenni’s veil blew off and the officiant bounded towards the sea to catch it, we explored the island and all it’s rugged beauty. We ventured to a nearby cliff side and found a dock to trespass on (shhh!) and scurry down for some portraits before getting a little wet down at the water’s edge. It never ceases to amaze us how so many things can seem to thwart or change our plans, but love truly does overcome.
