(LET’S get into the nitty gritty)

What do you love about photographing couples?

You know that photo of you as a kid, mostly toothless, holding up a worm or a fish you caught or the bangs you cut off (sorry mom!)? Your parents told you the story about that day  so many times that now when you look at that picture, it’s like reading a novel. But did the picture make the story or did the story make the picture?

What if it’s not an either/or? What if it’s both? When we hold a photo in our hands, it’s not just a still-life, it’s a complex series of events that led you to be in that place and time. It’s a big bundle of emotions that are still living and evolving inside of you. It’s a memory of a past that’s woven into your present and future.

When we take photos of real love and real connection, we are thinking about you holding that picture in your hands some day, using it as a memory aid. It MATTERS how you document an engagement, elopement, or wedding day. If every pose is a duck face or obviously forced fake laughs, we miss out on the story behind the moment. And so, we focus on you and your love, trusting that you are living and breathing your story every moment.

Do you shoot big weddings?

While we love a good party, we focus on more intimate weddings for work. We take only a select number of celebrations a year and we’ve found that we’re able to give the best experience we can to couples who need help planning an epic adventure or a super intimate celebration. We thrive in those environments and we want each of our couples to know that they are getting our very best.

Do you shoot other things?

Absolutely! Though our focus is on weddings and elopements, we also regularly photograph families and individual portraits among other things. Feel free to reach out if you have an idea or questions about things.

Do you travel?

Together we’ve been to over 30 countries and nearly all 50 states because we absolutely LOVE to travel. We’ve both lived abroad and know how to get by in places where you don’t know the language on a budget. Not only that but all of our packages come with travel included so that you don’t have to worry about adding up any additional costs. We take care of the logistics so you get to take care of having more fun!

Fun fact: our dog Glen has been to nearly 40 states!

Describe your shooting style

We’re documentarians and artists.

We want your photos to feel like you. So that when you’re looking at them you recognize yourselves – your smiles and your expressions – but we know that most people haven’t had their photos taken professionally that often. We never want you to feel posed, but we do want you to feel confident.

Most of our reviews mention that we’re fun to be around. We pride ourselves on creating an environment where you feel at ease even if we’re climbing some pretty tall rocks or diving into the ocean!

How much do you charge?

Weddings and elopements start at $3500.
Our couples and family adventure sessions start at $500.

That said, we believe every wedding deserves a custom, hands on approach to pricing. Please reach out if you have questions!

Do I need to have a wedding date to contact you?

We typically don’t take bookings farther out than 18 months because that’s when we build out our schedule for the following year. But the sweet spot is between 9-15 months.

How far in advance should we book you?

Not at all! You don’t need a date or location to inquire! In fact, we love working with couples who have a blank slate and just some ideas of what they want their wedding to feel like when they contact us. One of our passions is helping clients find the perfect location during their favorite season!

What happens if we need to reschedule?

Life throws curve balls. We want to make sure you are completely taken care of so we always offer rescheduling. Our rescheduling fee for available dates is $1000.

Do you back up photos?

We do! Your photos are backed up in three different places after your wedding because we believe they are incredibly valuable and the cost of storage in comparison to the cost of lost memories is absolutely worth investing in for peace of mind. Plus we come to every wedding with extra gear, batteries, and memory cards to make sure we never miss a moment.

When will we get our photos back?

Time varies based on season (and we love getting your photos to you as soon as possible), but we aim to get all photos back by your one month anniversary!

How are our photos delivered?

We use a beautiful online gallery that’s up for a full year after your edited photos are delivered. You can share, download, and print web size or high resolution photos. You have your full printing rights so you may order prints directly from the gallery or print them from wherever you choose.

How many photos will we receive?

Each wedding and photo shoot is unique but typically you can expect about 80-100 photos per hour of photography!

Do you Photoshop skin?

We believe you are beautiful. We believe the quirks that make us unique should be preserved not changed. We also want to document the day, the people, the moments that were happening… authentically. So nope! That’s not our thing.

However, we’re happy to edit out any temporary blemishes, pimples, etc.

What’s your favorite pizza?

We knew you wanted to know… it’s tied between a really classic margherita or an over the top potato and beet pizza…or a thai peanut chicken pizza…or maybe sausage and apple with caramelized onions…but also…..we really like pizza!

What’s your go to road trip snack?

Zach loves gummies. Especially Albanese gummy bears. Jodi’s obsessed with crunchy Cheetos. And after a fateful evening eating gas station pizza rolls, those have been placed on a banned road trip snack list.
