John + Jess
After some quick changes of plan caused by Hurricane Helena, John and Jess tied the knot with a beautiful and intimate wedding up on Galbraith Mountain, sharing the ceremony with their children. Both of them being triathletes and lovers of nature, we set of from their home (making sure to record the miles on Strava!) through familiar running trails and ended up at a beautiful lookout where, after a little coaxing, Mt Baker made a lovely appearance.
After the ceremony we made our way back to the house where John and Jess shared heartfelt toasts with the kids, had their first dance, and then sat down for a big family meal.
I get asked sometimes about what are my favorite types of weddings to photograph and to be honest, I don’t think I have an answer. As long as it’s built upon genuine love and excitement to grow and build a life together, I love how every single celebration is unique and beautiful in its own way. It is always such a privilege to document these moments and this day was a absolute joy.
